Initially, the plan was to install a freestanding pergola with four posts. However, the client wanted to keep the space as open as possible while also installing outdoor blinds for added shade and weather protection.
To meet these goals, our team reengineered the design. We opted for a five-post configuration, reducing the number of posts near the house and creating a seamless connection with the building itself. This smart adjustment kept the pergola stable and wide open, enhancing the feeling of space while blending naturally with the home’s architecture.
Though technically a freestanding structure, the pergola visually and functionally integrates with the house, perfect for BBQ nights, family dinners, or simply enjoying a glass of wine outdoors.
